Death is not the end of your life.

Paul in Philippians 1:23 tells us that after he departed this life he would be with Christ - For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better. Paul knew that HE WOULD LIVE FOREVER with Christ.

Jesus taught that man is more than just flesh and blood that may be destroyed but that we possess a soul. Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul - Matthew 10 vs 28. He taught that all who have ever lived remain alive unto God. Now that the dead are raised, even Moses shewed at the bush, when he calleth the Lord the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. For he is not a God of the dead, but of the living: for all live unto him - Luke 20:37-38. We ALL possess a soul that cannot die, but which returns to God at death. You will live for ever.

Where will you spend eternity after you have departed this life? That decision is yours to make and yours alone. Where will you spend eternity? The way you live now in this life will determine the state in which you spend eternity. You will live forever but where? If you were to die now, would you need another chance to make it right with God? When you meet your Maker will He say “Come ye blessed of my Father” or “Depart from me” - Matthew 25 vs 31-46? Will your eternity be spent in comfort or torment - And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. - Luke 16:22-23

The promise of eternal life with God is only for those who have obeyed His will - For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. - Hebrews 10:36. Are you living a life in keeping with God’s will and His word?

If you want to live with Christ eternally then you must obey the gospel before you depart this life. You must hear and believe the gospel (Acts 15:7) repent of all past sins (Acts 17:30-31) confess faith in Christ (Romans 10:9-10) and be buried in water for the removal of all past sins (1 Peter 3:21).
